Obituary of Walter Francis Hart Jr.

Walter Francis Hart, Jr., age 90, of Trumbull, the beloved husband of Agnes (Piatak) Hart passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 17, 2025 at Ludlowe Health Care Center surrounded by his loving family. Born in Colchester, VT on April 11, 1935, he was a son of the late Walter Hart, Sr., and Alice B. (Richards) Langdon.

Walter retired as a Senior Buyer at Casco Products after 30 years of dedicated service. After retirement, he enjoyed bowling at Nutmeg Bowl and golfing at both Smith Richardson and Tashua Knolls Senior Leagues. He loved walking the beach in Daytona, FL in the winter and playing golf with his wife. Until recently he would walk to the Trumbull Library every day. Walter and Agnes enjoyed their life of 49 years at Lake Hills in Fairfield, where they raised their three children before moving to Trumbull. He was a Mets, Jets and UConn women and men's basketball teams' fan. He loved water skiing at Lake Lillinonah and taking his grandchildren out on his boat. He was proud to have served four years in the U.S. Air Force.

Walter is survived by his loving wife Agnes of 69 years, his beloved children, Susan Biatowas and her husband Paul, James Hart and Michael Hart and his wife Alison, his cherished grandchildren, Lauren (Seph), Kristen and Nicole Biatowas, Sara Santiago (Rick) and Ryan Hart, his adored great grandchildren, Oliver and Liam Santiago. He is also survived by his brother, Donald Hart of Fairfield, his step sister, Mary Collins of Texas and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Richard Hart, stepmother, Gladys Hart and stepfather Elmer Langdon.

Friends may greet the family on Tuesday, July 22, 2025 from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, Trumbull. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. in St. Theresa Church, 5301 Main St., Trumbull. Interment with full military honors will follow in St. John Cemetery, Stratford.
