Obituary of Hannelore Notaro

Hannelore Notaro, age 87, of Shelton, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 11, 2025 at Griffin Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Jacob ("Jack") John Notaro, Jr., who she was married to for 40 years.

Born in Berlin, Germany, she emigrated to the United States in 1961, became a U.S. citizen, and started a new life. She lived in Norwalk and Bridgeport, and built a home in Shelton where she was a longtime resident. She earned an Associate's Degree from Sacred Heart University and was a bookkeeper for Rotair Industries, Inc. for 20 years and thereafter at Beta Shim for 10 years. Hannelore was a member and treasurer of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, loved to travel and read, and, most of all, helped others in need and cherished her grandchildren. She was an avid Yankees fan and loved horses, doing puzzles, and the craft of sewing.

Survivors include her two devoted daughters, Attorney Stephanie Dellolio and her husband John Dellolio, and Robin Jacqueline Notaro, both of Shelton; a brother, Joachim Foerster and his wife Karola; three cherished grandchildren, Mariah Notaro-Miklus, Luke Roberts and his wife Lily, and Gracie Roberts, as well as many nieces and nephews, and all of their respective families. She was predeceased by her sister, Regina Stower.

Family and friends are invited to attend her memorial service on Saturday, July 19, 2025 at 10 a.m. at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 406 White Plains Road, Trumbull, with the Reverend Kathleen Mills officiating. Inurnment in the Columbarium and reception will follow.
