Edna M. Pettersen

It is with mixed emotions that we announce the passing of our beloved mother Edna. She was born in Bridgeport, CT. She spent all of her 97 years living near Shelton, Milford and finally settling in Stratford. Her last years were with family and dear daughter-in-law Elaine in Florida and most recently with her loving son Eric in Southbury.

As a Mom of three busy boys, Edna's life was filled with many ups and downs but also exciting adventures. Just a few of those adventures involved ushering at the Stratford Shakespeare Theatre enjoying the opera, which her son introduced to her, cooking her wonderful spaghetti sauce and great chicken paprikash.

She had opportunities to go off on cruises and take trips to Europe with family and friends. Volunteering at her local Catholic Church and very important to her. Wow 97 years and so much more.

She is survived by her two sons Eric and Fred. Her firstborn, our brother has gone ahead of her. She also leaves her nieces and nephews and several grand and great grandchildren.

You will be missed Mom until the day we are all united.
