Obituary of Timothy J. Brennan
Timothy Brennan, beloved husband of Eileen (Rafferty) Brennan and devoted father to his three children and two grandchildren, passed away at his home on Friday, May 30, 2025.
Tim, affectionately known as "Bear" by his family and friends, was born in Stamford, on April 29, 1961 to the late William and Marie (Chidsey) Brennan. Tim was a graduate of Stamford Catholic High School where he excelled in both baseball and captained football, but most importantly it's where he met his high school sweetheart and love of his life, Eileen. He then graduated from Pace University, where he was the star captain of the football team, before beginning a long and successful career.
Tim was a true sportsman, a dedicated fan of the New York Yankees and the New York Football Giants, and had a love for golf that was strong enough to get him on a course at any time. He was a resident of Trumbull for over 30 years, where he enjoyed helping organize and run golf tournaments for foundations that he held close to his heart. He spent countless hours sharing his passion for sports with his children and was their biggest fan when rooting them on. His family is what really mattered most to him and his loyalty to those he loved was unmatched. Tim was happiest when his family was all around him sharing time together and adored being "Pop" to his cherished granddaughters. He had many lifelong and treasured friendships throughout his life and could often be found beside a firepit sharing stories and telling jokes. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather, as well as an incredible brother and friend.
In addition to his wife Eileen of 37 years, he will be deeply missed by his daughter; Kelly Brawley and her husband Connor, his two sons; Bobby Brennan, and Mike Brennan, and his two precious granddaughters; Pippa and Winnie Brawley. Further, his four siblings; Dan Brennan and his wife Toni, Bill Brennan, Terrence Brennan, and Christine Brennan, and four nephews and a niece; Daniel, Joseph, Kaitlyn and Billy Brennan, as well as his entire extended family.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 10, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. directly at St. Rose of Lima Church, 46 Church Hill Road, Newtown, CT.
