RIP Norm. My boot camp partner who I never saw again until 1992 as we reconnected at a job orientation. Then we car pooled and had so many laughs. I was so sad to learn the news yesterday. I came home from the VA in West Haven after eight days of recovery from open heart surgery. Tish didn’t want to tell me while I was in recovery.
My love and condolences to Josie and all of the family.

RIP Norman. You will be missed. Had lots of fun times going to Dover NASCAR races. Allways made you feel like family. GOD SPEED.

Josie, although we haven't seen one another since school, your lovely daughter Debbie and my Becca have been friends since they went to school together. I want to send my heart felt condolences to you and your family. I've heard how special your relationship was. Best, Marie Cavaliere

To my buddy
What will we miss?
Being our human Atlas for vacation routes and our human calculator to figure out tips before everyone could figure it out on their calculators.
Someone too yell about the music being too loud and listening to him about his love for his recliner.
The visits to the club and the strict arrival and departure times.
The 3:00 Saturday visits which turned yard work into we should have a cold one on the deck.
The checking of the cars in the garage and the detour you would take.
Your favorite “restaurant “ will miss its favorite customer, who always left good reviews even when the cook didn’t agree with you.
Most of all I will miss my friend.
Rest peacefully and cheers buddy.

Josie and the girls...Nothing like the passing of your BEST childhood friend to make you appreciate each and every remaining moment we have left ourselves. I thank You for that Normand ( WITH A D!) Growing up in the late 50's and 60's was a time with nothing but visions of optimism and the dreams of finding that 1 woman that we wanted to love and share the future. It took years of research , lol, but we both hit the jackpot in doing just that. The memories are countless as we raised our families but Norm and I both have our "vaults" of trust that we take with us. We both confided in each other and offered true heartfelt advise accordingly.
The years before marriage and the military service had many many more experiences and of course lessons in life. The first thing Norm taught me as I met him was what a sucker punch was!. He taught me that I should not be kicking his new home's lattice work under his porch because they were loose. How as I to know? Norm learned about the important of tightening nuts on a homemade bicycle built for 2 as he face planted himself and discovered how abrasive asphalt was. Who can forget rolling our younger brothers down "mountains" of dirt in cardboard boxes which is now I-95 at State Street Ext. or the shooting of florescent light tubes with our BB guns pretending they were Nazi ships and we had to sink them as they floated down a stream.
Life took us in different directions as it has a tendency to do but I will always love and respect you Norm. I was Army and you Marines but I will leave you with your service motto.. "Semper Fi"......For you non veterans it means "Always Faithful"

My most vivid and humorous memory of a VERY young Norm is of this handsome young fella (handsome even back then) peeking through the mail slot of my parents' apartment early on a Saturday morning calling: "Linna Wick, come out and play." Rest easy, little brother. Still strong in my memories and always in my heart. Linda Quick

so sorry to hear the loss of my cousin Norman. I could remember dropping you off with my mom and dad in California to San Diego at Camp Pendleton at Camp Pendleton before you left to Vietnam. Prayers and thank you for your service.
