Obituary of Scott G. Seaman Sr.
Scott G. Seaman Sr., of Trumbull, passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home and with his loving family by his side on his 62nd birthday; Friday, May 16, 2025. He was the beloved husband of Kathy (Brown) Seaman. Born in Bridgeport, he was a son of Robert Seaman Sr. and Mary Jane (Mallozzi) Seaman and was a longtime resident of Trumbull.
Scott was dedicated to his work throughout his life - as a supervisor at Petrucci Construction for 15 years following high school, then for nearly 30 years at The Home Depot, progressing into management for over 20 of those years and serving in various locations across New York and Connecticut. Outside of his successful career, Scott was best known as the "Car Guy". His love for cars led him to spending countless hours restoring old classics, rebuilding and fixing cars for resale, or just helping a friend or family member with a repair. The garage was his sanctuary, but when he wasn't there, you would likely find him tackling a household project, crafting the landscaping at his home, or helping his children remodel homes of their own. His unconditional love for family outshined any of his interests and hobbies. He cherished the time spent with the love of his life Kathy, as well as with his children and family by the firepit, listening to his favorite music. As a loving son, devoted husband, father, brother, and friend, he left an indelible mark on the hearts of everyone who knew him. His memory will endure.
In addition to his parents and his beloved wife Kathy of 40 years, other survivors include his devoted son, Scott G. Seaman Jr. and his wife Allie Herman, his loving daughter, Danielle Seaman, his siblings, Robert Seaman Jr and his wife Jill, Rena Seaman, Rodney Seaman and his wife Linda, and Sharon Vitale and her husband Ralph, as well as many cherished in-laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, May 22, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. directly in St. Theresa Church, 5301 Main St., Trumbull.
