Joey was more than just a friend to me, he was like a father. I would frequently stop by the barber shop and have lunch with Joey, as he always welcomed and enjoyed my company. On weekends, I would meet Joey on the golf course, where we played, and he would always make my day when he said I was riding with him that day; It was always an experience. Without fail, every year on my birthday, Joey would call me to wish me a great day. He never failed to call! He was a great man! One who gave me advice and guidance that I can truly say shaped me into the man I am today. I will miss him dearly. He took me onder his wing, and now he has his own in the glory with God. I'm sure one day, when I reach that golf course in Haven, I will be riding with him. Willy D.
