Obituary of Donald Pavia

Donald Domenic Pavia, age 85, of Bridgeport, a retired supervisor for Del Conn Construction, passed away on May 2, 2025 at the VA Medical Center, West Haven. Born in Bridgeport on October 24, 1939, beloved son of the late John Sr. and Elizabeth (Sacher) Pavia. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps and served in many positions of the Marine Corps League. His love for coaching youth football brought him great joy over the years. The trips to Saratoga were epic. He enjoyed a nice Italian meal, a slice of pizza (just sauce and parm) and coffee with his friends. Frank Sinatra as his soundtrack, the love of classic movies, college football, a nice walk by the water at Seaside Park, visits from family, phone calls and pictures from afar brought Don the most joy of all. Survivors include a sister, Joanne Petro (Steve), of South Carolina, a son Donald, two daughters Capri and Donna Marie, grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, John Pavia and William "Bill" Pavia. A prayer service will take place at 11:30 AM followed by Military Honors on Friday, June 6, 2025, in the Abriola Parkview Funeral 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. Friends may greet the family from 10:30 AM until the start of services.
