Obituary of Agnes T. Lazor

Agnes Tavella Lazor, age 95, of Monroe, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at Mozaic Senior Life surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of 58 years to the late George J. Lazor. Born in Bridgeport on December 26, 1929, Agnes was a daughter of the late Antonio and Mary Rose (Cichello) Tavella.

Mrs. Lazor was a secretary at General Electric where she met the love of her life George. Soon after the married and raised their family in Monroe. She was a devoted parishioner of St. Stephen Church, a member of the Legion of Mary and a volunteer at St. Joseph Manor where she spent countless hours helping the residents. Above all she treasured the time spent with family, especially with the grandchildren. She was a great mom and grandmother her memory and traditions will carry on in the hearts of her family.

Survivors include her loving children, Mary DeMenna and her husband Gary of Fernandina Beach, FL; George J. Lazor III and his wife Renee of Monroe and Annemarie Maher and her husband Sean of Poughkeepsie, NY; eight cherished grandchildren, Gary DeMenna Jr., Bryan and Ashley DeMenna, Gregory DeMenna and Allison Snyder, George J. Lazor IV, Garrett Lazor, Grace Lazor, Braeden Maher and Jenna Maher and three great grandchildren, Grayson, Olivia and Madison as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers, Frank, John, Phillip, Anthony and Rocco Tavella and a sister, Ann Gallo.

Friends may greet the family on Friday, May 2, 2025 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in St. Stephen's Church, 6948 Main St., Trumbull. Interment will take place in St. John Cemetery, Monroe.
