Obituary of Edline J. Pierre

Edline Joseph Pierre, age 58, of Ansonia, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 9, 2025 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Francois Pierre. Born in Cap Haitien, Haiti on October 10, 1966, she was a daughter of Pierre F. Joseph and Bertulia Mompremier, and the adopted daughter of the late Anne Marie (Rodrigue) Joseph and was a longtime resident of Ansonia.

Before coming to the United States in 1997 from Haiti, Edline worked as a hairdresser taking care of her family and close friends and worked as an operator with a Haitian telecommunications company. She returned to Haiti in 2000 only to marry Francois and then they came back to the United States to start their family and raise her daughters. Here she began her career as a CNA until she went back to school to follow her passion of Fashion Design. From that point on she dedicated her work to tailoring, designing and making clothing for her daughters, family and friends. Her dedicated work ethic and attention to detail could be seen in all her work. Her memory will be live in her clothing by all those who were privileged to have received one of her creations. Edline was devoted to taking care of her family, especially for her husband and daughters and could always be found in the kitchen cooking some delicious dish. She was happiest when she was surrounded by family, especially with her daughters, or tending to her beloved garden, where she grew vegetables and herbs with care and found peace among the plants she nurtured.

In addition to her beloved husband Francois 25 years, survivors include two cherished daughters, Aliah Sarah Pierre and Kaysha Faith Pierre, seven brothers and sisters, Marie Charles (Jean) and family, Rosevanie Joseph and family, Irlande Monrose and family, Ketena Charles and family, Eric Estime and Family, Astride Joseph and Family and Frandy Joseph and family, aunts and uncles, Marie Joseph and family, Jacquelin Joseph (Rose) and family, Wilner Joseph (Gabrielle) and family, 9 brothers and sisters-in-law, Rony L.D.
