I cannot even list all the wonderful memories of spending time with my Uncle Vinny when my family lived in New York back in the 1960s and 70s. Before we moved to California, we spent tons of time with our Maiolo family going places and getting together and always always always laughing and enjoying each other's company. We were not families by blood, but it didn't matter. We were tighter than most blood families! My family moved to San Diego in 1974 and we didn't see Aunt Betty, Uncle Vinny, Donna and Vinny Jr. much after that but we still kept close in our hearts. And as the years went on, we were lucky enough to reconnect on Facebook to see pictures and keep up on what our East Coast family was doing. It felt like we were still there celebrating with them and sharing their lives. I will always have those memories. I will always keep my beloved Uncle Vinny close in my heart. He had the best sense of humor! My love and prayers go out to his family and friends across the miles. I will miss him always.

Dear Betty and Family, I am having a hard time accepting Vinny’s passing. We have been friends for a long time and I have many great memories of the times we spent together. I miss our conversations and the wisdom he shared with me, such an inspiration. I am blessed to have had him in my life. Please know that we are praying for Vinny and all the Maiolo family during this sadness.
