Obituary of Christo D. Mitri

Christo D. Mitri, age 81, of Bridgeport, beloved husband of Mary Deeb Mitri, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 29, 2025 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Beirut, Lebanon on April 25, 1943, he was a son of the late Damian Mitri and Marie Moukannass.

In addition to his beloved wife Mary, survivors include his three loving children, Joyce Sarkis and her husband Fadi, Elie Mitri and his wife Amani and Gaby Mitri, four cherished grandchildren, Christel, Moussa, Guayel and Chris Elio, a brother, John Mitri and his wife Souad, a sister Guita Naassan, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Joseph Mitri Sr. and Mitri Mitri.

Funeral services will take place on Friday, April 4, 2025 at 11:00 AM directly in St. Nicholas Antiochian Orthodox Church, 5458 Park Avenue, Bridgeport with Father Romanos Malouf officiating. Interment will follow in St John's Cemetery, Monroe. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Friday morning from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. directly in the church.
