Obituary of Carl M. Stella

Carl M. Stella, age 95, of Trumbull, beloved husband of Elizabeth Lynders Stella, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 23, 2025 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Bridgeport on September 8, 1929, he was a son of the late Carl M. and Maria DeLuisa Stella.

A graduate of Central High School, he was a U.S. Navy veteran, proudly serving his country during WW II and was a member of the VFW Post 10059 in Trumbull. Carl was a retired manager for Sikorsky Aircraft with 42 years of dedicated service before his retirement.

Carl was a loving and dedicated husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He cared deeply for his family and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his beloved wife of 38 years, Elizabeth, survivors include his son, Carl Stella and his wife Olga, step-children, Anthony DiNuzzo, John DiNuzzo and his wife Pina and Elizabeth Jacksis and her husband Steven, daughter-in-law, Linda DiNuzzo, his grandson, Carl Stella, step-grandchildren, Christine Jachimski  and her husband Dan, Casey Dorry and her husband Brandon, Meghan Petrillo and her husband Joseph, Melissa Jacksis and Sabrina and Savannah DiNuzzo, two great grandchildren, Connor and Zander. As well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, James and a sister Genevieve and step-children, James and Evana DiNuzzo.

Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, April 1, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. Interment with military honors will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Tuesday morning from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home.
