To the memories of this great man who always smiled and loved freely. We will always remember the great times on the deck at Thousand Islands, Good times with Resa at the nautilus in Maine. The times in Lake Havesu, Sodona, and the drive across the country, Caity’s wedding and with Lori and Mike in Vail and the overnight in Utah. The special times in Hualapai for Alaskan Amber beer. Your and Lynn always made us feel special. Thank you for such great memories, you will be missed. Lori, Resa, Mike I hope you hold the memories in your heart forever and know that they are both with you in spirit to support you. To all the grandchildren, Caity (Christian), Clare, Georgia, CJ, Smith, Hannah and Braedon they are here with you, close your eyes and feel their hugs. Rest in Peace Jim. We were together in all our classes senior year at Notre Dame. We were both in the US Air Force but at different times. He went in before me. We both went on the Bridgeport Fire Department in 1971. He was on the first group scored #2. I was in the second group. I guess I followed him in our career choices, To his family and friends please accept my condolences.

My family and I knew the Veary family well, growing up as kids in Briidgeport. Mr. Veary was always someone my brother, Michael, and I looked up to and admired. I'm very sorry to learn of Jim's passing. We worked very well together as Assistant and Deputy Chiefs on the Bridgeport Fire Department, and also as officers of the Bridgeport Firefighter's Sick & Death Benefit Association. God bless him, he will be missed.
