We would like to express our sorrow for the loss of Atanasio. I am Elisa, Gianni's daughter. I am writing this short message of condolences on behalf of my family. We remember Atanasio as a warm, caring and generous man. Even though he lived far away from Italy, he managed to maintain alive the relation with the Italian side of the family, showing constantly interest and affection towards all of us. I hold dear my first memory of him, when, during one of his visits from the United States, he took me to a toy store and made me choose the doll I liked best. I still remember the wonder in front of that gift and that generous gesture. With love.
