Obituary of Anna Mary Tzanavaris

Anna Mary Seffick Tzanavaris, age 82, of Bridgeport, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 28, 2025, with her loving family by her side. Anna was born in Bridgeport on July 19, 1942, to the late Stephen Paul and Mary Leskovsky Seffick.

Anna was a kind and dedicated woman who devoted over 35 years of her life to her work as a bookkeeper at St. Vincent's Medical Center, retiring in 2005. She had a colorful gypsy soul, with a love for music of all genres and fine arts. Anna found joy in baking Christmas cookies for her family and friends, always sharing her warmth through her thoughtful gestures. Her garden was a testament to her love for flowers and nature. But it was in the simple, everyday acts of care and affection that Anna's heart truly shined. Above all, Anna's greatest joy came from the love she gave to her family. The unconditional love she gave will forever live in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Anna is survived by her longtime companion and love of her life, Loren Piccolo; two devoted sons, George Tzanavaris and Marc Tzanavaris; two daughters in heart, Cathleen Anderson and Nicole Thomas; her beloved granddaughter, Ryland Anderson; a special niece, Ann Marie Davis and her husband William Robert Davis; as well as a great niece and nephew, Jacqueline Marie Davis and William Robert Davis III, and several additional nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Stephen Seffick; her sister, Bernadette Brelsford; and her former spouse, Alexandtros Tzanavaris.

Anna leaves a lasting impact on all who knew her, and she will be deeply missed.

Family and friends are invited to gather to honor Anna's memory on Friday, March 7, 2025, from 4-7 p.m. at Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. A prayer service will be held at 6:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to My Sister's Place charity in Anna's name. To leave a message of condolence or share a memory, please visit www.abriola.com.
