Obituary of Americo Costa Branco

Americo Costa Branco, age 58, of Bridgeport, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 27, 2025 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Torre, Moreiras, Chaves, Portugal on May 4, 1966, he was a son of the late Adelino Milheiro Branco and Maria Gloria Costa. Americo was a driver for Arrow Express Inc, with 40 years of dedicated service.

A quiet and loving person, Americo enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. He treasured time spent with his family creating memories for a lifetime. He loved a good meal and was always on the hunt for a great bargain. He spent weekends driving to flea markets, seeking out a great find.

But above all he was a loving son, brother and uncle whose smile will be greatly missed.

Survivors include his loving brothers and sister, Lucio Costa Branco and his wife Fariza, Otilia Costa Branco Quinta and husband Mario, and Nelson Costa Branco and his companion Camilla, five cherished nieces and nephews, Francisco, Emily, Nelson Jr., Louisa and Danial, as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins and many dear friends. He also leaves his canine companion, Brownie.

Funeral services will take place on Thursday, March 6, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Fatima Church, 429 Huntington Rd, Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
