Obituary of Rosa G. Rodrigues Do Poco

Rosa Rodrigues do Poco, age 86, of Bridgeport, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Antonio Esteves do Poco. Born in Arcos de Valdevez, Portugal on May 2, 1938, she was a daughter of the late Antonio Jose and Eulalia (Goncalves) Rodrigues and was a lifelong resident of Trumbull.

Rosa came to the United States in 1970 and settled in Bridgeport with her husband Antonio to start their family and begin a new life. She worked at the former ACME United for many years before her retirement. She was a longtime member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Bridgeport. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her devoted daughter, Maria do Ceu Rodrigues Esteves, two brothers, Manuel Rodrigues (Fatima) and Carlos Rodrigues, three sisters, Fatima Afonso, Arminda Rodrigues (Jose Maria) and Eulalia Cergueira, two loving grandsons, Carlos Rodrigues Esteves and Paulo Rodrigues Esteves and his wife Cait and three cherished great grandchildren, Tristan, Gianna and Jaxon as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son-in-law, Carlos Alberto do Poco Esteves. She was predeceased by her siblings, Maria Caldas and José G. Rodrigues.

Relatives and friends may greet the family on Wednesday, February 26, 2025 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. 

A Funeral Service will take place on Thursday, February 27th at 10:30 am directly in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 3536 Madison Ave., Bridgeport. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. To leave an online condolence, visit us at www.abriola.com.
