Obituary of Francis "Chic" Grosso

Francis "Chic" Grosso, age 84, of Bridgeport, passed away on Wednesday, February 19, 2025 at Mozaic Senior Life. Born in Bridgeport on August 16, 1940, he was the son of the late Frances Altieri Grosso, and was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War.

Following in his grandfather's footsteps, who published an Italian Newspaper in Bridgeport, Chic worked as a graphic designer in the publishing business and retired from General Electric Co. He was an avid boater, who spent a lot of time on the water. He was a member of the former Pequonnock Yacht Club

Survivors include his devoted sister, Patricia Grosso–Hill and her husband Richard, stepson, Frank D'Andrea and his wife Lisa, stepdaughter, Kristen Mathews and her husband Patrick, five grandchildren, Quinn, Cole and Leighton Mathews and Harper and Beatrix D'Andrea. He was predeceased by his wife, Sharon Leopardi D'Andrea.

Friends are invited to meet directly in St. Theresa Church, 5301 Main St., Trumbull on Monday, February 24, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment with military honors will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call on Sunday from 3 – 6 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
