Obituary of Fernando B. Teixeira

Fernando Borges Teixeira, 40, of Shelton, passed away unexpectedly, on Sunday, February 16th, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and devotion to his family. The man with a heart of gold.

A beloved husband to Monica Vaz and a proud father to his two-year-old daughter, the apple of his eye, Aliciana. Additionally, he is survived by his parents, Aristides and Maria Ines Teixeira, of Bridgeport. His father-in-law, Raul Vaz and wife, Teresa of Shelton. He was predeceased by his mother-in-law, Maria Alice Vaz. He had several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends, by whom he'll be sorely missed.

He was the heart and soul of his family, always putting them first in everything he did. Fernando carried his Portuguese heritage proudly, embracing his love for soccer, music, and dancing with the same passion that he brought to every aspect of his life. Whether cheering on his favorite team - Benfica, filling a room with music, or sharing a dance, he had a way of bringing joy to those around him. His enthusiasm for Volkswagens was more than just a hobby—it was a passion and carried a sense of nostalgia. Above all, Fernando will be remembered for his kindness, his unwavering love for his family, and the warmth he extended to everyone he met. His presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
