Obituary of Lita M. Ruseski

Lita M. Federici Ruseski, age 89 of Stratford, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Thursday, February 6, 2025, at St. Vincent's Medical Center. She was a daughter of the late Nicholas and Ethel (LaConte) Federici and was a longtime resident of Stratford.

Lita graduated at the top of her class from the University of Bridgeport Secretarial School. She went on to become an Executive Secretary at Perkin-Elmer and retired after 30 years of dedicated service.

Lita enjoyed spending many summer beach vacations with her family, playing bridge with friends, and travelling to Europe. She was passionate about golf and more than just an avid golfer. Her love and dedication to the game made her a talented golfer and was lucky to have made a hole-in-one during her career. Lita also loved shopping and trying new recipes when cooking and baking. She was a longtime parishioner of St. Catherine of Sienna and attended services regularly in person and by television.

Her happiest moments were those spent with family, especially with her grandchildren. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend and will be missed by all who knew her.

Survivors include her three loving children, Linda DeRosa and her husband Peter of Stratford, Thomas Ruseski and his wife Lynn of NJ and Joseph Ruseski, Jr. of NC. A sister, Virginia Livingston and her husband Peter and brother, Patrick Federici and his wife Connie. Six cherished grandchildren, Peter DeRosa, Jr., Julia DeRosa, Olivia DeRosa, Gianna Ruseski, Ava Ruseski and Thomas Ruseski as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Relatives and friends may greet the family on Wednesday February 19th from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, February 20th, at 11:00 am directly in St. Catherine of Siena Church, 200 Shelton Road, Trumbull. Entombment will follow at Oak Lawn Cemetery, Fairfield.
