Obituary of Alice Mary Mizia

Alice Mary Duguay Mizia, age 78, of Trumbull, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 11, 2025 in the comfort of her home with her family by her side. Born in Bridgeport on April 14, 1946, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Andrews Duguay. A graduate of Warren Harding High School, Alice went on to Butler Business School and worked for many years at Pitney Bowes before her retirement. She was an avid New York Jets fan and enjoyed watching the Super Bowl with her two sons every year. She loved dogs and always took care of the wild animals in her yard. But above all, Alice was a dedicated and loving mother. She put the needs of her boys before her own and provided nothing but the best. She was the most loving and best mother anyone could ever ask for. Alice will be deeply missed. Survivors include her two loving twin sons, John Mizia and Ronald Mizia, a sister, Yvonne Schwarz and her husband Gary, brother-in-law, John Fitzgerald, nephews, Gary Schwarz and his wife Lynn, Robert Babin and his wife Christine, Mark Babin and Debbie, Joe Duguay and his wife Donna, nieces, Tracy Grey and special friend, Patrick Johnson, Denise Butt and her husband Eric, as well as several great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister Annette Babin and brother Joseph Duguay and his wife Valerie. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Theresa Church, 5301 Main St., Trumbull. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Tuesday morning, February 18, 2025 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull.
