Obituary of Daniel Richard Macioce Sr.

Daniel R. Macioce Sr., age 84, of Deltona, FL and formerly of Naugatuck, CT, beloved husband of Valerie Scalzi Macioce, passed away peacefully on February 4, 2025 with his loving family by his side. Born in the Bronx, New York on July 10, 1940, he was a son of the late Dominic and Madeline Fusco Macioce. Daniel was a retired Assistant Manager for Atlantic & Pacific Tea Company with over 45 years of dedicated service.

Daniel was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, cousin, and friend. Daniel was a selfless, loving, gentle heart who always put his family first. He had a way of reaching anyone that he came in contact with, in a positive way. When you were in Daniel’s presence, you always felt loved, safe, and cared for. What he loved the most, was baseball, coffee, dancing, but overall, his family and friends,

In addition to his beloved wife of 64 years, Valerie, survivors include his two loving children, a son, Daniel R. Macioce Jr. and his wife Cheryl and a daughter, Lisa Camberlen and her husband George, three cherished grandchildren, Bianca Santos and her husband Dave, George Cambrelen, and Daniel E. Macioce, two adored great grandsons, Carter and Benjamin, as well as three cousins, Anthony Capozziello, Joseph Fusco, and Joanne Amendola.  He was predeceased by two brothers, John and Joseph Macioce.

Funeral services will take place on Thursday, February 13, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. Interment will follow in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Stratford.  Relatives and friends may greet the family on Wednesday from 4 – 7 p.m. in the funeral home.
