Obituary of Mary Carey

Mary Micinilio Carey, age 98, of Stratford, beloved wife of the late William F. Carey, died on Tuesday, February 4, 2025 at Bridgeport Hospital.   Born in Bridgeport on  December 30, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Arcangelo and Antoinette Basso Micinilio. Mary had worked as a waitress at Valley’s Restaurant in Stratford. She enjoyed baking cakes  to celebrate her  family members birthdays and painting nature scenes.    

Survivors include her devoted daughter, Linda Carey and Lonnie Mann, her sister-in-law, Melody Micinilio and many nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her son Richard Carey, brothers, James, Michael, Reno, William and Dominick and her sisters Sally and Rose.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, February 13, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. DIRECTLY in Our Lady of Peace Church, 651 Stratford Rd., Lordship.  Private interment will be in St. John Cemetery, Monroe.   To leave an online condolence, visit www.abriola.com
