Obituary of Charles F. Companik, Jr.
Charles F. Companik, Jr., age 85, of Trumbull passed away peacefully on Monday, February 3, 2025 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Ann Marie (Nazionale) Companik. Born in Bridgeport on June 17, 1939 he was the son of the late Charles and Florence (Santacroce) Companik. A proud U.S. Navy veteran, he had served his country honorably before his discharge. Mr. Companik was an extremely hard-working man and most recently had been employed by West End Lumber as the yard foreman, where he built many friendships over the years. Charlie had a keen sense of knowledge and enjoyed the task of completing puzzles, especially Sudoku. He was an avid gardener and took great pride in the landscape and manicure of his impeccable yard. His greatest enjoyment however was found in the time he spent surrounded by his loving family. A loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and friend of many. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his beloved wife Ann Marie of nearly 62 years, other survivors include his devoted sons, Frank Companik and his wife Patricia of Meriden and Richard Companik and his husband Paul of New Canaan, his cherished grandchildren, Christina Companik and her partner James Gabbard of Wallingford, Victoria Berman and her husband Gary of Glastonbury, Kai Companik and Jaelin Companik, both of New Canaan, his adored great grandchildren, Jordan Niemiec, Aidan Niemiec and Alyssa Berman, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sisters, Mary Ann Lewis and Genevieve Companik.
