A celebration of Virginia’s life will be held at a later date and interment will be held in the family plot of St. Charles Cemetery in Farmingdale, New York.

Obituary of Virginia K. Guglielmo

Virginia K. (Oresto) Guglielmo, age 83, of Derby and formerly of Trumbull passed away peacefully on Monday, January 13, 2025 at St. Vincent's Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert Guglielmo. Born in New York City, New York on May 6, 1941, she was a daughter of the late Fred and Virginia (Ruggiero) Oresto.

Mrs. Guglielmo had worked as an accountant for Universal Ford in New York with over 25 years of dedicated service before her retirement and building many friendships along the way. Virginia was a talented artist and had a gift for drawing. She also like to crochet and if you were lucky enough to receive a scarf or blanket from her, then you knew you were someone special. Virginia was a very social person and was happiest when she was surrounded by her family and friends. She looked forward to the annual return trip to Cape Cod where she would be surrounded by her family and close friends. A loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend of many. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her loving daughter, Virginia Stadt and her husband Jim of Derby, her cherished grandchildren, Alyssa Smith and her husband Tim of Shelton and Gabriella Stadt of Derby, her soon to be welcomed and adored great granddaughter arriving shortly, her brother, Fred Oresto and his wife Linda of Land O'Lakes, FL, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her beloved husband Robert, she was also predeceased by her daughter, Tracy Ann Guglielmo.
