Obituary of Paul J. Kennedy
Paul J. Kennedy, age 69, of Trumbull passed away peacefully on Monday, November 25, 2024 at Bridgeport Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Patricia (Stone) Kennedy. Born in Bridgeport on December 28, 1954, he was a son of the late Thomas J. and Jane M. (McNamara) Kennedy. Paul had been employed by Meyer, Inc. of Stratford for over 26 years as Director of Sales. He had enjoyed coaching his son’s baseball teams early on, and also enjoyed playing pickup basketball until he was 55 years old. He was an avid golfer and looked forward to his weekly Saturday rounds at Tashua Knolls where he created lifelong friendships. Paul loved to spend countless hours on Canoe Brook Lake, fishing, canoeing and relaxing. His greatest enjoyment however was found in the time he spent surrounded by his family or traveling with his wife. A loving and devoted husband, father, brother, step grandfather, uncle and friend of many. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
In addition to the love of his life, his wife Patricia, other survivors include his devoted children, Michael Kennedy and his wife Niki Webber of Milford, Kara Kennedy of Naugatuck and Scott Kennedy of Stratford, his step children, Cory Wright and his wife Shelby of New Hampshire, Jeff Wright of Norwalk and Nicole Rogers and her husband Chris of Long Island, his step grandson, James Rogers, his sisters, Patricia Caruso and her husband Dominick and Barbara Onderko and his brother, Thomas Kennedy and his wife Mary T. O’Brien, as well as his former mother-in-law, Dee Varholak, and his adoring nieces and nephews.
