Obituary of Joseph A. Dipisa

U. S. Army Veteran of World War II Joseph Anthony Dipisa, of Trumbull, passed away on Wednesday, July 5, 2006 after a long illness. His wife Dolores passed away in 2002. They were married 57 years. Joseph was born in Monessen, Pennsylvania. He lived most of his life in Norwalk before settling in Trumbull to be closer to his family. Joe was a courageous person. He served honorably in World War II with the 20th Armored Division. He was a loving caretaker of Dolores during her long illness. He faced his own illness with dignity and courage. Joe was always ready for some conversation and had a smile for all even when times were tough. Josephs memory will be cherished by his family. They include his daughter, Mary Anne DeGrazia and her husband, Bill and his son, James Dipisa and his wife, Linda. He will live in the hearts of his grandchildren, Bill and Tracey DeGrazia and Christopher Dipisa. Joe was enormously proud of them all. In the sadness of this moment, we are comforted by the thought that Dot and Joe are together again. The family would like to thank the third floor staff at Lord Chamberlain for their kind and expert care. They would also like to thank Joes friends Jim, and his nephew Jack for their constant companionship. Friends both near and far have been a steady source of love and support, and we will be eternally grateful to them.
