Rebecca Christy-Benyamini, age 31, of New York City, formerly of Huntington, died suddenly on Tuesday, August 30, 2005. Rebecca attended Shelton High School, graduating in California and attended U.C.L.A. and studied Gemology in New York City. She embraced life and family with much love and generosity. Rebecca traveled the world, studied dance and theater in New York City and worked in that industry. She will always be cherished and missed by her family and friends.
Rebecca is survived by her beloved mother, Laura Christy of Stratford and Cheryl Valentine of Stratford, her grandparents, Louise Lelio of Huntington, Harry Lelio of Milford, aunt, Lisa Pavlich of Huntington, uncle, Richard Pavlich of Bridgeport, aunt, Amy Mariconda and her husband, Peter of Stratford, uncle, Edward Lelio of Stratford, her beloved cousins and best friends, Alessandra Simna of Stratford, Matthew and Samantha Pavlich of Huntington, cousins, Megan and Conor Lelio of Shelton and close family friends Coralie and Alfred Valentine.
Funeral services will take place on Sunday September 4, 2005 at 12 noon in the funeral home with the Rabbi Brockman presiding. Interment will follow in the Long Hill Burial Grounds, Trumbull. Friends may join the family to celebrate Rebecca's life on Sunday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
