The hardest part of this transition for me is not believing it’s real. I still can’t wrap my mind around your absence as I still feel your presence. You played such a pivotal role in my life. Your my moms twin but also a second mom to me too. I have such amazing memories from my childhood pool summers, impromptu breakfasts at the small diner on rockaway parkway, walks on Avenue L, bagel Friday nights…etc. and although I wasn’t fond of the matching outfits you put Jess and me in, I now look back and smile because I know I would have likely done the same thing. As I said to you last time we spoke I admire your strength. You were so brave through your illness even when you were scared. I know you are in the sweetest peace and back with all those that departed before you. You will be missed beyond measure.

to my angel, there are not merely enough words in this world to fully express how deeply you are loved and how much you will be missed. grandma cookie, you were my best friend. my second mama. and now you are my guiding angel. you are truly the strongest and most inspirational woman i will ever know. you always carried yourself with so much love, radiance, and kindness. even in the hardest of moments, your humor and quick wit would bring a sense of comfort and make everyone around you smile. you had such a beautiful way of sharing your heart, warmth, and light, being the sunshine in all of our lives. you always talked about how much you loved and believed in your angels. and now that you gained wings of your own, you will always be surrounded by them. i will always be your nana. and you will always be my angel. so, "how about we love each other the same? that's a deal. BFF!" i love you forever and always grandma cookie. Love, Your Nana

There are no words that I can say how much I’m going miss you . We talked to each other every night .You are such a huge part of my life. Through our good and bad times, our happiness and tears we were there for each other ... I know intellectually you had to leave but my heart is having a hard time accepting it . You know what they say two halves make a whole. Love and miss you see you soon !!! BSF (best sister forever ) Love Your twin sister Chris

Grandma Cookie brightened the room from the very first moment I met her. Her humor, warmth, and kindness made everyone feel welcome, and she had a special gift for making people smile even on ordinary days. Especially sending me home with sweet treats.
