We are so sorry to hear of Tony's passing, she was the nicest neighbor who was always full of energy, always had a smile, and was so much fun! She made the most beautiful delicious cookie trays! And always had some kind of sewing project going on. Fairview Street wasn't the same without Tony. She will be very missed by all who knew her. God bless our beautiful Tony. I could just picture the days we’d sit on your back porch and discuss the olden days back then in Philadelphia and I always thought you were from the boot and I was like really we had some great times over coffee you never went in for a refill and I always wondered why lol me and the tally will miss the times where we sat there and just looked at you because you were so spunky and full of life all the time .very upbeat and adored that you’d always me. Why the heck did you name him? Why didn’t you name him an name or an American name? I said Toni come on lol I’ll miss you Toni. You lived a great life if everyone could be like you. love forever shannon and Natale with the italian name :)) I don’t know what you’re doing up there but you’re probably making stories up about Natale and me. And you’re probably bored lol it’s hard to say. good bye
My aunt was an amazing woman— a real firecracker clear-minded and full of spirit always I take comfort in believing she’s now reunited with those she loved who passed before her—her son, husband, and siblings—sharing some wine and those super-hot peppers they all enjoyed.
I’ll never forget her special touches in the kitchen: her potato chip cookies, pepper biscuits, and the way she, my mom, and Aunt Mary loved that jalapeño tuna fish. It never seemed to sell well in regular food store's, but they’d found it at the dollar store for next to nothing—and one summer, we cleaned them all out! I still have so many things she sewed for me and my mother like jacket covers and suit covers to store them. I remember I had this big computer monitor. It was ginormous and she made me a cover for it. It fit perfectly. I used that forever.
I remember The summer nights when we would play rummy, cub or some such game and get all worked up yelling and playing all evening. I will never forget the hot peppers she and my aunts and uncle would jar in oil and how hot they were and everybody would lose their breath and be tearing saying how great they were, well it sounded more like a whisper because those peppers were really hot and did take your breath away.lol
I loved her dearly, as I do all my aunts and uncles. Time is precious, and life is fleeting, but the love we share lasts beyond it. I just wish her endless peace and happiness.
