I have known Sandra for many years; I taught her three boys in 6th grade in Shelton, Tony being very special to me. During that period my mom got illand she would come and stay with my mom in Oxford. My husband, Tim Walsh, made great eggplant that Sandy and my mom enjoyed for lunch often. Time passed and I lost my only child and then my husband in 2016 . Sandra and I did get together a few times over the following years and enjoyed eating Italian food in Monroe and Newton until I developed a heart problem in 2022. Sandra was a wonderful person in every way; she cared from her heart. I’m sorry to hear of her passing and offer my heartfelt prayers to her three boys and their families. With Love, Gail Walsh

Sandy was such a warm-hearted and caring soul, someone I had the privilege of knowing since I was 12. Her kindness and gentle nature left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her, including me. She was the one who taught me how to play Skipo and I have loved blueberry Yankee candles bc of her. She had a way of making people feel seen, heard, and valued, and those moments will stay with me forever. I hope you can find some comfort in knowing how much she touched the lives of those around her. Please know that my thoughts are with you and your family Tony, Sammy & Gianni during this incredibly difficult time. And may her legacy live on through all of you. With deepest sympathy, Lucy Emmolo

Many years ago when she was still in Shelton, I went to visit her and saw the cats(jack and jill). Jack had put on several pounds while Jill was still sleek, I commented to Sandy that Jack had become a fat ass. A half hour later two of her girl friends came over and after we exchanged pleasantries I excused myself as I had things to do. As I passed Jack I said see you around fat ass! Later Sandy confided to me how stunned her friends were that she allowed me to talk to her like that!! She told me, laughing lying that she told them I was talking to the cat!!! She always enjoyed telling that story, and it never failed to make her laugh. I'm happy to have shared those and many other memories with her.
