Obituary of Clotilda Andrews

Clotilda (Hilda) Andrews, age 89, of Stratford, beloved wife of the late Clifford E. Andrews, passed away on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at Bridgeport Hospital. Born in Bridgeport on October 7, 1928, she was the daughter of the late John and Jennie (Scinto) Fusco. She was a graduate of Harding High School Class of 1946 and the Butler Business School. A retired secretary, Hilda was formerly employed by the State of Connecticut, Stratford Housing Authority, Chapin & Bangs, D.M. Reads and Bridgeport Hospital. She was a member of the St. Theresa Guild of Holy Rosary Church and the Children of Mary.

Hilda was a loving mother and grandmother who cherished time with her family and was excited for the birth of her great granddaughter Emery Noelle Weller in two weeks. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her four loving children, Janice Lee Mastell and her husband Peter, Lorna Jean Duffield and her husband Jeffrey, Richard Clifford Andrews and his wife Kathleen and Karen Lynn Andrews and her partner Robert Benevides, seven cherished grandchildren, Jennifer Balserait and John, Jason Duffield and Andrew Williams, Eric Andrews and Marissa, Michael Mastell and Stefanie Tropea, Shannon Weller and Johnathan, Joshua Duffield, Matthew Mastell, and her favorite nephew, John Parry.

Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at 10 a.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull and at 11 a.m. in Our Lady of Grace Church, Stratford, for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery, Stratford. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Monday from 4 – 8 p.m. in the funeral home.

Those desiring may make memorial contribution to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, 659 Tower Avenue, First Floor, Hartford, CT 06112; a cause that was close to Hilda's Heart.
