Obituary of Genevieve Claire DiVasto

Genevieve Claire DiVasto, age 84 of Trumbull, beloved wife of the late Lester DiVasto, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, November 19, 2017 with her family by her side. Born on February 1, 1933 in Port Henry, NY, she was the daughter of the late George and Margaret Collins Hogan. She enjoyed baking for her family and was an avid Mets fan and also enjoyed vacationing with her husband Lester in Las Vegas. But above all, she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who will be truly missed by all who knew her.

Survivors include her three children, Michael DiVasto and his wife Janice of Trumbull, Elizabeth McDowell and her husband Glenn of Wilmington, MA, and Mary Sue Bordonaro and her husband Angelo of Stratford; three cherished grandchildren, Sara Lynn DiVasto, Brooke Elizabeth DiVasto, and Samuel Michael DiVasto; a brother, Mike Hogan of Norwalk, as well as several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. directly in St. Theresa Church, 5301 Main Street, Trumbull. Interment will follow in Spring Grove Cemetery, Darien. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
