Obituary of Anthony M. Guerrera

Anthony M. Guerrera, age 79, beloved husband of Joan Pernatozzi Guerrera of Stratford, passed away on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at home, surrounded by his family. Born in Bridgeport on April 10, 1938, he was the son of late Pasquale and Blanche Lombardi Guerrera and was a longtime resident of Stratford. Before becoming a practicing attorney for over 53 years, Anthony was a graduate of Fairfield Preparatory School Class of 1956, Holy Cross College in 1960 and UCONN School of Law in 1963. He went on to earn a Master's Degree in Taxation from NYU in 1965. Anthony practiced law in the Bridgeport and Stratford area and most recently with Owens, Schine and Nicola. He was an avid New York Yankee's and Giants fan and enjoyed all sports, especially watching his grandchildren play. But above all of his accomplishments in life, none was greater than that of husband, father and grandfather. He treasured time spent with family, especially his grandchildren. The memories they created will continue to live in their hearts forever. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his beloved wife Joan of 53 years, survivors in include his two loving children, Mark Guerrera and his wife Joanne of Arlington, VA and Lisanne Dunkel and her husband Joel of Stratford, five cherished grandchildren, Sam, Zachary, Madelyn, Anthony and Eleni; two sisters, Alice Buccitti and her husband Anthony of Waterbury and Patricia Pray and her husband Leo of Shelton, brother-in-law, Richard Vitale, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sisters, Rose Kubica and Elaine Vitale.
