Obituary of Bernice C. Moroni


Bernice C. LoConte Moroni, age 84, of Stratford, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 22, 2017 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She is now reunited with her late husband, Angelo J. Moroni, whose passing took place exactly five years ago to the day. Born in Bridgeport on January 3, 1933, she was a daughter of the late Angelo and Mary Capuano LoConte. Bernice had been employed by the former Dresser Industries, where she worked as an inspector for many years. A loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, she will be greatly missed by all who knew her.


She is survived by her loving children, Gary Moroni of Stratford and Valerie Sandor and her husband James of Trumbull, her cherished grandchildren, Lauren Branco and her husband Dave and Matthew Sandor, two great grandchildren, Alex and Clare Branco, as well as her sister, Viola LoConte of Stratford. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Louise Tigano, Gloria Pazmandi and Rose Miklus and her husband John, as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband Angelo, she is also predeceased by her brothers, Pat, Angelo and Anthony LoConte and her sisters, Emily Dion, Lucy Sportini, Edith Napolitano, Dorothy Rich, Mary Moretti, Anna Burdo, Lena LoConte and Clara LoConte.


Friends may greet the family on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 from 8:30-10:30 a.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. in St. Theresa Church, Trumbull. Entombment will follow in the St. Monica Mausoleum of Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull.
