Obituary of Anthony Erodici

Anthony (Tony The Barber) Erodici, age 76, of Bridgeport, beloved husband of Rosina Tartaglia Erodici, passed away on Thursday, July 20, 2017 at Yale New Haven Hospital. Born on November 6, 1940 in Strangolagalli, Province of Frosinone, Italy, he was a son of Lucia Lisi Erodici of Florida and the late Ernesto Erodici and was a U.S. Navy veteran. Tony began his barber career in the Navy and after his service time he moved to Bridgeport and opened Michael Anthony's Barber Shop in 1970. Affectionately known as Tony the Barber, he truly loved his profession. Over his 47 years in Fairfield, he enjoyed seeing his customer's every day; the laughter, memories and joy he brought to them was what he treasured. He was a member of the Circolo Sportivo Italian American Club of Bridgeport; he enjoyed playing golf, bowling, hunting and playing pool. But above all these things in life, Sunday was family day; Tony enjoyed his time with his family, especially his grandchildren. The unconditional love he gave them will always live on in their hearts. Tony the Barber will truly be missed by many.

In addition to his wife Rosina of 51 years and his mother, Lucia, survivors include his five loving children, Rosemarie Erodici, Anthony Erodici, Michele Rodriguez and her husband Angelo all of Bridgeport, Michael Erodici of Fairfield and Diana Erodici-Cortes and her husband Naldi of Bridgeport, six cherished grandchildren, Angelo Jr., Jake and Max Rodriguez and Celine, AJ and Sky Cortes, a brother, Renato Erodici and his wife Dorees of Bridgeport, sisters, Maria Valeri and her husband Arcangelo of Shelton, Vincenza Massaroni and her husband Sante of Italy and Rina Samatulski and her husband Lenny of Florida, as well as several brothers and sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sisters, Italia Massaroni, Rosina Mullins, Susie Stemphowski and a brother, Peter Erodici.
