Obituary of Anna Maria Gardecki

Anna Maria Picone Gardecki, age 45, of Derby, beloved wife of the late Paul J. Gardecki, passed away on Sunday, July 9, 2017 at St. Vincent's Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Bridgeport on May 15, 1972, she was a daughter of the late Alberto and Michelina Rinoceronte Picone. A graduate of Bryant College, Anna Maria was a valued member of the United Health Care team for over 22 years and most recently worked as a Senior Compliance Analyst. She was a devoted mother who enjoyed volunteering at Bradley School, where she was a member of the PTA, a room mother and a proud member of the Bradley School Family. Her greatest enjoyment was found in the time she spent with her family especially her daughter Amanda. A loving and devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend she will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Survivors include her adored and cherished daughter, Amanda Gardecki of Derby, a brother Michael Picone and his wife Laurie, a sister, Lucie Gribok and her husband John, all of Shelton, a sister-in-law Laurie Masulli and her husband Gabe of Shelton, brother-in-law Tommy Gardecki and his wife Kathy of Seymour, sister-in-law Annie Lindberg and her husband Tom of Shelton, loving cousins, Carmine,Lola and Zoraida Lepore, father and mother-in-law, Gerald and Jeanne Connell Gardecki of Stratford, as well as several nieces and nephews Christopher, Kyle, Allison, Lauren, Rebecca, Jessica, Lydia, Christopher, Rachel, Samantha, Nicole, Julia, Thomas and Katie. Family and Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass celebrating Anna Maria's life on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. directly in Holy Rosary Church, 10 Father Salemi Drive, Ansonia. In honor of Anna who had the most beautiful blue captivating eyes we ask that you wear your bluest blue. Interment was held privately in Mount Saint Peter Cemetery, Derby. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions for an education fund to benefit her daughter Amanda may be made through the funeral home. Arrangements entrusted to the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull.
