Obituary of Ricardo Perez

Ricardo Perez, age 85, of Bridgeport, beloved husband of Paulina Rodriguez Perez, passed away peacefully in his home on Monday, July 10, 2017. Born in Cuba, on June 9, 1932, he was the son of the late Ricardo Perez and Asuncion Pereira Perez.

 

In addition to his cherished wife Paulina of 58 years, he is survived by three loving children, Miriam Pieragostini and her husband Joseph of Bridgeport, Mikki Mayer and her husband Norbert of Orange and Lazaro Perez and his wife Bonnie of Stratford, four cherished grandchildren, Tess, Ricky, Abbie, and Grace, a brother Armando Perez of Cuba, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings, Oscar, Francisco, and Lily.

 

Ricardo truly achieved the American Dream. A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, he worked tirelessly to support his family and provide his loved ones with the opportunities that allowed them to fulfill his legacy of integrity and hard work. Ricardo was a machine operator for American Fabrics and spent much of his retirement employed by Fairfield University. He enjoyed cooking, working outside in the yard, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. The unconditional love he displayed and the values he instilled in them will always live on in their hearts. He will be deeply missed.

 

Funeral services will take place on Friday, July 14, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:00 a.m. in St. Charles Borromeo Church, Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Mountain Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Thursday from 4 – 8 p.m.
