Obituary of Anna Marini

Anna Marino Marini, age 93, of Bridgeport, beloved wife of the late Domenico Marini, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 3, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Bridgeport on March 21, 1924, she was a daughter of the late Domenico and Natalie Cianfrano Marino. A lifelong Bridgeport resident, Anna was a devoted parishioner of St. Margaret Shrine.

Over the last 2 years, Anna was a resident of Bishop Wicke Convalescent Home in Shelton. Her hobbies included painting, video games, playing cards, checkers and bingo.

She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother who dedicated herself to the love and care of her family. The unconditional love she provided will always live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. She will be truly missed by all.

Survivors include two loving children, Richard J. Marini and his wife Evelyn of Stratford and Roberta Convertito and her husband Dave of Monroe, cherished grandchildren, Richard A. Marini, Tina Piacentini and her husband Michael, David Convertito and his wife Michele, Michael Convertito and his wife Selina, Brian Convertito and his wife Daniella, great grandchildren, Melani Piacentini, Lia Convertito, Sofia Convertito, Julianna Convertito, Nico Convertito, Isabella Convertito, Anna Convertito, Gianna Convertito and Alexandra Convertito, as well her brother-in-law, Orlando Marini and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three sisters, Rose Marini, Lucy Sena, and Mary DiCamillo.

Funeral services will take place on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:00 a.m. in St. Margaret Shrine, Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment will follow in Mountain Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Friday from 4-8 p.m.
