Obituary of Nancy L. Rossi

Nancy Champagne Rossi, age 71, of Bridgeport, beloved wife of the late Frank V. Rossi, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 8, 2017 at Yale New Haven Hospital. Born on April 15, 1946 in Bridgeport, she was a daughter of the late Victor and Lillian Sastram Champagne. Nancy had been employed by Baron Technology, where she worked in the shipping and receiving department for many years. A loving and devoted mother, upon the passing of her husband she raised six children on her own from the age of 37. She was an extremely hard worker but found great enjoyment crocheting, however, her grandchildren were the highlight of her life. Survivors include her children, Frank Rossi, Jr and his wife Tracey of Madison, Rosemarie Provenzano and her husband David of Naugatuck, Victoria Rossi of Derby, Danielle Simpkins of Shelton, Antoinette Rossi of Derby and Eric Rossi and his wife Amanda of Trumbull, fifteen cherished grandchildren, Marissa, Luke, Andrew, Craig, Jason, John, Frank, Kelly, Angelina, Mark, Frederick, Samuel, Domenic, Anthony and Mia, three great grandchildren, two brothers, Victor and Gary Champagne and a sister Judi Champagne, all of Bridgeport, as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will take place on Monday, June 12, 2017, at 10:30 a.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull and at 11:00 a.m. in St. Andrew's Church, Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Monday morning from 9:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
