Obituary of Jean M. Strobel

Jean M. Clancy Strobel, age 54, of Trumbull, beloved wife of Barry Strobel, passed away peacefully in her home on Friday, June 2, 2017.  Born on November 28, 1962 in the Bronx, NY, she was a daughter of Arlene Weinman Clancy of Westbury, NY and the late Frank Clancy.     

A graduate of Oswego State University, Jean was a Para-Professional at Middlebrook School, Trumbull. An avid sports fan, she was a great fan of the New York Rangers. She was a loving and caring wife, daughter and mother, and will be truly missed by all that knew her.

In addition to her beloved husband Barry of 26 years, and her mother, she is survived by two loving children, Colleen Strobel of Chicago, IL and Brendan Strobel of Trumbull, siblings, Peter Clancy and his wife Christine of New York, Patrick Clancy of Nevada, Christine Herrmann and her husband Guy of North Carolina, Victoria Clancy of New York, and Barbara Ginsberg and her husband Jonathan of Florida, as well as many nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law and many dear friends. In addition to her father, she was predeceased by her brother, Frank Clancy.            

Funeral services will take place on Thursday, June 8th, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Catherine of Siena Church, 200 Shelton Rd., Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Nichols Village Cemetery, Trumbull.   Relatives and friends may greet the family on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
