Obituary of Gregorio Corsale

Gregorio Corsale, age 84, of Bridgeport, beloved husband of 50 years of Maria (Cervera) Corsale entered into eternal rest on Monday, May 29, 2017 surrounded by his family. Gregorio was born on January 1, 1933 in Formicola, Province of Caserta, Italy. He was the youngest of four children born to Vincenzo and Maria DeRubba Corsale. He studied agriculture and worked on the Family estate. Gregorio moved to the United States with his wife in 1968 and settled in Connecticut, where he worked in Industrial Manufacturing. Gregorio had a passion for adventure and always be active in life. He enjoyed hunting and motorcycles in his early years and gardening and farming in his later years.

He is survived by two sons, Vincenzo Corsale and Mario Corsale and his wife Charisse and his only grandson Gregorio Corsale, all of Connecticut. In addition to his wife, Maria, he was predeceased by his sisters, Christina (Simone) Corsale, Filomena (Izzo) Corsale and brother, Vincenzo Corsale, all of Caserta, Italy.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 2, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull and at 10:00 a.m. in St. Margaret Shrine, Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment services will take place in Caserta, Italy. Friends may greet the family on Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
