Obituary of Christan Moran

Christan Star Moran, age 54, of Trumbull passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 3, 2017, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was the partner of Grace Thomas and the former wife of and current best friend to Michael Moran. Born in Palo Alto, CA on February 28, 1963, she was a daughter of the late Marcella and Michael Trueman. Christan was passionate about her work and found a great fulfillment from serving as an attorney advocating for children and parents in the area of child protection law. She enjoyed anything outdoors and especially loved the wind, which led to her passions for cycling, hiking and sailing. Her love for cycling culminated in her participation in a “century” bike ride in September of 2015, despite undergoing chemotherapy at the time. She also found great enjoyment in baking, traveling and in photography, however her greatest enjoyment was found in the time she spent with her family, especially her children. She was a loving mother, partner, sister, and friend to all and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her loving children: Devon Moran of Alexandria, VA; Richard Moran of Pittsford, VT; David Moran of Harlem, NY; Rowen Moran of Trumbull, CT; and Rosalind Moran also of Trumbull, CT; her seven siblings: Devin Trueman and his wife Marcy of Paulsbo, WA; Caitlin Tait and her husband Craig of Seattle, WA; Mark McClenahan and his wife Lisa of Sunnyvale, CA; Craig McClenahan of Washington, IA; Mandy McClenahan of Marshallville, GA; Michael McClenahan of Burbank, CA; and Mat McClenahan and his wife Alaine Kashian of Van Nuys, CA.
