Obituary of Carol M. Weber

Carol Moriarty Weber, age 71, of Shelton passed away peacefully on Monday, May 1, 2017 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Oakland, CA on August 29, 1945, she was a daughter of the late John F. and Lillian Hawkins Moriarty. Carol had been employed by the State of Connecticut, where she worked as a case manager for the Department of Mental Retardation before her retirement with many years of dedicated service. Her love for art and passion for painting in both oil and water colors contributed to being an extremely active member of the Bridgeport Art League and also being an art instructor. She also found great enjoyment as a member of the Aspetuck Village Community, where she was an avid bocce player and built many lasting friendships. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Survivors include her loving children, Robert Weber of Milford and Laura Ward and her husband Ron of Hamden, a nephew Christopher Kelley of Southington and longtime companion Nicholas Ferreira of Shelton. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her sister, Barbara Kelley. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 5, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. Interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Friends may greet the family at the funeral home on Friday morning from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
