Obituary of Arcangelo Petitti

Arcangelo Petitti, age 87, of Bridgeport passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 23, 2017 at St. Joseph Center in Trumbull. He was the beloved husband of Antonietta Pavia Petitti. Born in Faeto, Province of Foggia, Italy on April 13, 1930, he was the Son of the late Giovanni and Nicolina Galucci Petitti. Mr. Petitti had been employed by Benny Tile & Jay Tile where he worked as a Tile Setter before his retirement with many years of dedicated service. He loved to work in his garden and also was an avid wine maker, but his greatest enjoyment was found in the time he spent with his family and Grandchildren. A loving and devoted Husband, Father, Grandfather and Brother, he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his beloved wife of 54 years, Antonietta, other survivors include his devoted children, Joanne Cisek and her husband Peter of Middlebury, Leonard Petitti of Bridgeport and Evanna Perelli and her husband Luigi of Shelton, two cherished grandchildren, Gavin Petitti and Nicolina Perelli, his brothers, Vincenzo Petitti and his wife Rose; Modesto Petitti and his wife Josephine; brother-in-law Daniel Pietrangelo, all of Canada; Sister Ida Serena and her husband Rocco of Italy as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his Brother, Joseph Petitti and Sister-in-law Rocchina, Sister, Assunta Pavia and brother-in-law, Joseph Pavia and Sister, Anna Pietrangelo.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, April 28, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. directly in St. Andrew Church, 435 Anton Street, Bridgeport. Entombment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may greet the family on Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull.
