Obituary of Josephine Giannettino

Josephine Caserta Giannettino, age 99, of Sandy Hook beloved wife of the late Thomas Giannettino, passed away on Friday, March 31, 2017 at River Glen Health Care in Southbury. Born in Bridgeport on November 3, 1917, she was a daughter of the late James and Minnie Mastriani Caserta. Josephine was a devout mother, grandmother, sister and friend and was loved by everyone. Survivors include three loving children, Andrew Giannettino and his partner Dolores Huzar of FL, Rose Pettit of Sandy Hook and JoAnne Taylor and her husband Michael of CA, a daughter-in-law, Mar-lyn Giannettino of FL, 9 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Thomas Giannettino, a sister, Adeline Yorio and brothers, John and Joseph Caserta. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 11:00 a.m. in St. Lawrence Church, Shelton for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.
