Obituary of Robert J. Davis

Robert Joseph Davis, age 78, of Trumbull passed away peacefully on Monday, March 27, 2017 at CT Hospice in Branford. He was the beloved husband of the late Patricia Mulvihill Davis. Born in Bridgeport on August 13, 1938, he was a son of the late Louis and Jane Zuccarelli Davis. He was a dapperly dressed gentleman with a constant appetite to get things done. Bob was the coupon wielding, bag of popcorn and donut dealing, man with a plan. A proud U.S. Army veteran, he later worked for over 37 years as an Account Executive with Morton Salt and a real estate broker. He was also dedicated to his own company, RJD Associates and was extremely well known as a ticket salesman for Cinemark Theaters, where people would go to great lengths to be sure to deal directly with him. A fixture at Trumbull High, he was proud to attend the events his grandchildren were involved in and rarely missed them. He adored his grandchildren and would do anything for them. Survivors include his loving daughter, who fought tirelessly over the last several months for a different outcome, Mary Angelucci and patient son-in-law, Paul Angelucci of Trumbull, three cherished grandchildren, Paul II, Adam and Hailey, his beloved brother, Joseph L. Davis of FL and his special friend, Mary Stephens of Orange, for her care and devotion she has extended to Bob. He is also survived by a niece and several nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 31, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Patrick Church, 851 North Ave., Bridgeport. Entombment with military honors will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may greet the family on Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Friends of Appalachia, Inc., 929 White Plains Rd., #342, Trumbull, CT 06611 or online at friendsofappalachia.org.
