Obituary of Albert R. Mobilio

Albert R. Mobilio, age 82, of Stratford, beloved husband of Grace Belfiore Mobilio, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 5, 2017 with his loving family by his side. Born in Bridgeport on May 9, 1934, he was a son of the late Vincent and Pasqualina Persica Mobilio. He was a U. S. Army veteran serving from 1955-1957. Al was a graduate of Central High School, and went on to Wright Tech to earn his barber license. He pursued a career as a barber, having owned his own shop. He was also a retired employee of Sikorsky Aircraft and was also formerly employed by Handy & Harmen. An avid Yankee fan, he enjoyed many trips to the casino and playing the piano. But above all these things he was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. The memories of his love will always remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. In addition to his beloved wife of 59 years, Grace, survivors include four loving children, a son, Albert Mobilio, three daughters, Laura Viscount, Patty Mobilio and Maureen Bergeron and her husband Ronald, three cherished grandchildren, Valerie Viscount, Taylor Bergeron and Jack Bergeron, two great grandchildren, Jeremiah and Chance as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three sisters, Marie Lupinacci, Viola Pace and Natalie DiCicco and three brothers, Joseph, Ernest and Rudy Mobilio. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 10, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull and at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Grace Church, Stratford for a A Mass of Christian Burial.Interment with military honors will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery, Stratford. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Friday morning from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
