Obituary of Mary A. Marsilio

Mary Doolan Marsilio, age 95, of Trumbull, beloved wife of the late Samuel Marsilio, passed away on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at St. Vincent Medical Center with her loving family by her side. Born in Bridgeport on January 24, 1922, she was the daughter of the late James and Bridget Kelly Doolan. Mary was an avid reader and enjoyed cooking and traveling. She was a parishioner of St. Theresa Church where she was active with the Seniors and the Honor Guard. She was a devoted UCONN Men's and Women's Basketball fan. She cherished the time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She relished trips with family and friends and just loved life. Survivors include children, June Falzone and her husband Angelo of Trumbull, Rosemarie Carroll and her husband Michael of Trumbull, Samuel Marsilio and his wife Mary of Guilford and Mary Barrett and her husband Jack of Trumbull, a son-in-law, John Feher of Trumbull, 13 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Madeline Feher, two brothers, James and Francis Doolan and a grandson, James Feher. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the nurses and staff at St. Vincent's for all their care and compassion. Friends are invited to meet directly in St. Theresa Church, 5301 Main Street, Trumbull on Friday, February 3, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Family and friends may call on Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at The Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
